A recent survey reveals that there is plenty of scope for Canada to increase its “mind-share” in Taiwan by engaging a more proactive policy toward the people of Taiwan while still staying within the boundaries of the one-China policy.
Generally, a younger demographic identifies as Taiwanese as opposed to Chinese, and these people tend to consider that the United States, Japan, and other partners like Canada are of greater importance to Taiwan than China.
