Why a robust health data infrastructure is so important
Unfortunately, in Canada as elsewhere, the state of electronic health records varies widely. Electronic records are heavily skewed towards those who are sick, and therefore lack the necessary coverage of all residents. A government commitment to address these shortcomings—including strong privacy protections and cybersecurity provisions—is paramount.
