Slogans in this campaign are symbolic of our age

The Liberal and Conservative 2019 campaign slogans are out. There is some underlying mean-spiritedness in both. So let’s parse them a bit.
Unlike the Trudeau Liberals' grammatically inept slogan—"Choose Forward"—the Scheer Conservatives' catchline, "It is time for you to get ahead," at least has subject, object, and verb, the basics of any sentence structure, writes Andrew Caddell.
