Climate change is a health emergency

Without a massive investment in adapting our hospitals to extreme temperature and other climate extremes, our health-care system can be further compromised.
One surprising health challenge from heat waves is that our hospitals do not have sufficient air conditioning capacity to keep the hospitals within an acceptable range of temperatures for safe surgeries, writes Green Party Leader Elizabeth May.
