Why doesn’t the Trudeau government want to recognize Canada’s 1812 heroes?

The government should either immediately place the War of 1812 Book of Remembrance in the Memorial Chamber where it belongs or explain to Canadians why it refuses to do so.
Quebec Conservative Sen. Jean-Guy Dagenais says today in the Memorial Chamber of the Peace Tower, eight altars of remembrance display seven books commemorating all those Canadians who fell in conflicts around the world. Only one altar stands empty—the one for the conflict that actually occurred on Canadian soil between 1812 and 1815.
