Defenders of John A. Macdonald statues should remember his words, actions towards First Nations, says Kinsella

Canada's first prime minister separated First Nations children from their parents, calling them 'savages' who had to be 'civilized.'
The statue of Sir John A. Macdonald on Parliament Hill is one of many around the country. The City of Victoria recently removed a statue of the former prime minister from outside of its city hall because of Mr. Macdonald's role crafting the residential schools system, sparking controversy.
