Hothouse Earth: climate change making for unwanted feedback

Global warming driven directly by human emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases is only part of the problem—the smaller part.
The best we can do is try to stabilize the warming at or just below 2 C, and that will not be possible without major human interventions in the climate system.
