Let’s take a Twitter vacation, seriously

Let’s quit Facebook and Twitter and YouTube, cold turkey-style. It sounds crazy, but if we all kicked our social media addiction, at least for a few months, I believe it would do wonders for our nation’s collective psyche.
Whenever I venture into the wilds of my own Twitter feed, I’m constantly exposed to vulgarity, to rudeness, to outright hatred—and that’s just when I’m looking at sports tweets. Things are even worse when it comes to tweeted political debates.
