The desire for change is changing politics

Canadian voters wanted change. So what explains this strong desire for change? The answer, I think, is that as a society we’re growing disillusioned with government. And what’s causing this disillusionment is we expect government to fix everything.
Meanwhile, here in Canada, we elected Justin Trudeau prime minister despite his lack of experience, mainly because his charismatic, rock-star persona was such a stark contrast to Stephen Harper’s unrelenting dullness.
