Québec Senator pitches for Cancer Society after conquering disease
A new Senate with a 'better attitude' than in years past enticed the Martin appointee to return as soon as he was able.
Senator Dennis Dawson is calling on Canadians to donate to cancer research, after passing the one-year anniversary of his own cancer diagnosis.
Sen. Dawson (Lauzon, Que.) battled throat cancer last year, temporarily leaving the Senate between June and this January as he grappled with the disease.
