Time to invest in smart cities

Canada has to decide where it fits in—will we be at the forefront of utilizing new digital technologies to improve city services and build more inclusive communities, while at the same time creating the new businesses that will make cities smarter and create the good jobs that we need?
Infrastructure Minister Amarjeet Sohi will finally spell out the government's conditions and awards that it plans for Canada's own smart cities challenge, modelled on earlier competitions in the U.K. and the U.S. at the end of next month.
