For a political family like the Clintons to go cold turkey must be excruciating. Their whole relationship, and the story of Hill and Bill, has been built around a partnership in public life. Without those ties that bind, the pair will undoubtedly both suffer a crash.
And the one who must be suffering from the most extreme political withdrawal is former U.S. secretary of state Hillary Clinton and her presidential spouse.
