Government considering extending debate on pension bill, Senate poised to send Bélanger’s anthem bill to committee

After coming up against more opposition to Bill C-26 from the Conservatives than anticipated, the Liberals are looking to find time as it’s a priority to pass, alongside Bills C-22 and C-16. Meanwhile in the Senate, Bill C-210 could finally be off to committee.
Following this week, MPs are back in their ridings for one last constituency week before coming back for a marathon five-week stretch of Parliament sitting. During those weeks, the government is hoping to get through 'a number of pieces of legislation that are currently on the Order Paper and others that might not be there yet,' Kevin Lamoureux told The Hill Times.
