The well-being of Canada’s children is lagging

There have been too many missed opportunities by Canadian governments of different political stripes to introduce legislation to establish a National Commissioner for Children and Youth.
While Canada is a great place to grow up for most of its children, some children are falling farther behind—such as our Aboriginal and immigrant children, as well as those living in poverty and involved in the youth criminal justice system.Photograph courtesy of UNICEF
