CORCAN offers rehabilitative programming, employment for offenders

This is done through on-the-job and third-party certified vocational training in manufacturing, textiles, construction, and services. In former prime minister Stephen Harper’s last budget in 2015, CORCAN operations were 'streamlined' and certain locations were closed. The consequence is that fewer offenders have the opportunity to gain these valuable and highly sought after skills.
