Will ‘responsible conviction’ encourage a bipartisan foreign policy?
If 'responsible conviction' merely heralds a return to traditional liberal internationalism, then it is unlikely to win the support of many on the right side of the political spectrum. If, however, it signals a new direction altogether—one that filters information through a more neutral, realist lens for instance—then perhaps a new consensus can be established with time.
