Trudeau raises another $43,000 for war chest, Hall Findlay announces support from five senior Liberals

Liberal Leadership candidate Justin Trudeau gained another 949 contributors over the week’s reporting period. His campaign war chest, two days before voting begins, is $1,078,866, after a 10 per cent cut to the party that all candidates have been submitting to pay for the contest debates, events and cost of the election.

TORONTO—Justin Trudeau surged even further ahead of the Liberal pack on the party’s leadership election money trail in a report to Elections Canada this week, but Vancouver MP Joyce Murray also gathered steam in terms of cash donations and the number of contributors.
