Feds likely to fight Quebec’s appeal to courts to save long-gun registry records

PARLIAMENT HILL—The federal government has hinted it will fight a plan announced by the government of Quebec today to go to court in an attempt to preserve records in the federal long gun registry if a bill dismantling the system passes through Parliament.
