For this fiscal year (2011-2012) Parliament has already approved the main estimates and supplementary estimates a, for authority to spend a total of $252.8-billion. In supplementary estimates b, which was tabled in the House of Commons Nov. 3, 68 departments are asking for $6.6-billion in spending authority.
