NDP has no plans to drop interim leader Turmel
Maxime Bernier was a political adviser to Parti Québécois' Bernard Landry and Transport Minister Denis Lebel was a card-carrying member of Bloc. Quebecois prior to joining Mr. Harper's Conservative party in 2007.
Despite the storm of media coverage and criticism over interim NDP Leader Nycole Turmel's past membership in the Bloc Québécois and, until last week, her membership in a hard-line Quebec sovereignty association, the NDP will not relieve her of her position, says one of its top MPs.
