Feds, provinces need to take leadership against tobacco
The federal Health minister needs to take leadership on this file with her provincial counterparts by reviewing the taxation formulae. Ultimately, the solution may be to raise taxes, but at least we won't hear about these legal shenanigans.
The recent Supreme Court of Canada ruling against the tobacco industry should be a relief to taxpayers as much as it was for the government.
