Hill media fascinated by sensational News of the World story, but say it couldn’t happen here

OTTAWA—While the general consensus among national reporters is that Canada’s media do not engage in the illegal practices employed by Britain’s tabloids, some argue the integrity of Canadian political reporting has been and is compromised by close ties with government.
