On this Macdonald Day at the Macdonald statue in the town Macdonald built, the number of attendees was—me. Macdonald's descendants did not show up; they live in Manitoba and vote NDP.
It was noon Tuesday so I walked to the John A. Macdonald statue on Parliament Hill.
