Ignatieff and Rae outmanoeuvre themselves
Since Prime Minister Stephen Harper came to office almost five years ago he has twice outmanoeuvred the opposition and secured Parliamentary approval for extensions to Canada's combat mission in Kandahar against long odds.
OTTAWA—If Prime Minister Stephen Harper's plan for a three-year extension of Canada's military presence in Afghanistan was put to a vote in the House of Commons it would pass easily.
