House renovations for temporary swing space digs to cost $523-million
The cost does not include renovations for committee space in the heritage Bank of Montreal building to be completed in another five years, says Public Works.
Renovations for temporary committee rooms and "Parliamentary suites" for MPs during the long-delayed renovation of Parliament's crumbling West Block will cost taxpayers more than $500-million, Public Works has disclosed.
