Gay vote expected to increase
Gay voters have some of the highest voter turnout rates of any minority group, and represent a constituency with a political interest. But not many are being targeted in this election.
The gay vote is becoming an increasingly important demographic on the electoral landscape, say experts, who point to high rates of voter participation, and a growing number of people self-identifying as gay.
