Liberals call it 'mean-spirited,' but Tory MPs say it's a change for the better, another step to take 'big money' out of politics.
Bill C-29, the Loan Accountability Bill, intended to limit loans for federal candidates running in elections and leadership campaigns, will not entirely eliminate the potential to "buy" candidates and, for this reason, the Senate should amend it, says a leading democracy advocacy group.
