In his Oct. 20 column in The Hill Times ("U.S. should downsize its power") Richard Gwyn blames American power for the fact it is widely believed in the Middle East, and also by some Europeans, "that the mass murders of 9/11 were perpetrated by the CIA and Israel's Mossad."
