It has been remarked often that the reason Iraq's Saddam Hussein is a goner (wherever it is that he's gone to) is that he didn't have any weapons of mass destruction while North Korea's Kim Jong-il is still doing fine in Pyongyang because he's armed himself to the nuclear teeth.
