Hoekstra petition is a message to Washington—if anyone is listening

If the United States wants to sell its liquor to Canadians, or encourage them to travel south of the border, the White House needs to stop bullying us.
Signatures are climbing for an e-petition calling on the Canadian government to request the removal of U.S. Ambassador Pete Hoekstra from his post. It had approximately 149,700 signatures on Aug. 14 at 9:40 a.m. ET. This is up from the 127,000 signatures seen in the afternoon of Aug. 13.

The call to dump American Ambassador to Canada Pete Hoekstra is growing. E-7531 is a House of Commons online petition, which had more than 106,000 signatures on Aug. 13.
