'It’s easier to prevent homelessness through preventative measures than to help someone get off the streets,' says Liberal MP Natilien Joseph, who suggested the study.
Housing, Infrastructure, and Communities Canada, led by Minister Gregor Robertson, said Canada's Reaching Home strategy helped place more than 112,000 people into more stable housing. The 2019 strategy is funded through to 2027-28.
