‘Deeply disappointing’: procurement ombud’s probe into federal management of Indigenous contracts reveals ‘misleading data’

Government departments have overstated the success of Indigenous procurement targets, and failed to track and justify whether contracted work was actually performed by Indigenous businesses, according to the findings of a new probe by the federal procurement watchdog.
