‘Unprecedented’: global body looking into Canadian Human Rights Commission, potentially downgrading country’s status

Canada's human rights record has never been investigated by the United Nations in more than 30 years that it has been a member state, according to Nicholas Marcus Thompson, executive director of the Black Class Action Secretariat, which now puts this country among the ranks of nations like Russia, Iraq and Venezuela.
