Government House Leader Steven MacKinnon was sworn into his new role at Rideau Hall on Jan. 8, filling in until the end of July for Liberal colleague Karina Gould, who is expecting her second child this month.

As Government House Leader Karina Gould officially began her parental leave, Chief Government Whip Steven MacKinnon was sworn in to take over her duties during a Jan. 8 ceremony at Rideau Hall.
