New envoy ‘happy’ to see Taiwan in spotlight, Canada’s new China approach in Indo-Pacific strategy

Taiwanese diplomat Harry Ho-jen Tseng says the Indo-Pacific strategy is Canada's China strategy, which wouldn't be necessary if China had not become increasingly assertive and aggressive in the region.
Harry Ho-jen Tseng began his post as special representative of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Canada in late August.

Taiwan’s new representative says he is “happy” that Canada’s much-anticipated Indo-Pacific strategy highlighted Taiwan and charted a new path for Ottawa in its relationship with China.
