Terry Fox Humanitarian Award representatives to host Parliamentarians and Hill staffers

Terry Fox, pictured running on his tour, had one leg amputated due to cancer. He tried to run across Canada, but after 143 days and 5,373 kilometres, he had to end his run. His efforts cost him his life, but his worldwide legacy lives on. He was 22 when he died. The annual Terry Fox Run, first started in 1981.

Representatives of the Terry Fox Humanitarian Awards, including program alumni and members of the Fox family, have invited Parliamentarians and Hill staffers to a reception in the Wellington Building beginning at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29.
