Politics This Morning: U.S. backs vaccines patent waiver, Canada noncommittal in response

In response to the U.S. backing of intellectual property vaccine waivers, Trade Minister Mary Ng didn’t offer a position but says Canada remains “a strong advocate for equitable access to affordable, safe, effective COVID-19 vaccines and medical supplies around the world."
Good Thursday morning, United States Trade Representative Katherine Tai says the country is backing a waiver that potentially could allow more COVID vaccine production worldwide.
