Parliament gets back underway on Dec. 5, with House Speaker election and Throne Speech

As the longest consecutively serving MP in the House of Commons who isn’t a party leader or cabinet minister, Bloc Québécois MP Louis Plamondon will again preside over the election of the Speaker of the House, his fourth such outing, on Dec. 5.
