Vice-Admiral Mark Norman leaves court on Wednesday, May 8, after the Crown announced that it is dropping the breach-of-trust charge against him. In explaining the decision, the prosecutor cited new evidence from the defence that 'revealed a number of complexities in the process that we were not aware of,' according to Crown prosecutor Barbara Mercier. Mr. Norman was accused of leaking cabinet secrets on the government's shipbuilding strategy.
