Chinese Premier Li Keqiang was the first Chinese leader to visit Canada in six years. He met with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Parliament Hill on Sept. 22., where the two leaders announced a pledge to double bilateral trade by 2025, and confirmed that the two countries are in 'exploratory' free trade agreement talks. The premier also addressed concerns around human rights in China, and announced that China would lift its ban on importing Canadian bone-in beef under the age of 30 months.
