Finley defends government’s childcare plan as more lobby against it
The Conservatives intend to pass the childcare allowances in Parliament by the end of June, while some hope the government has opened the door to create more spaces and allocate more money.
Amid a national grassroots childcare lobby on Cabinet and the Conservative caucus, Human Resources Minister Diane Finley says the government will be spending double what the Liberals promised for 13 years while in power.
